Hybrid - On Site and Telework (Must live in Austin, TX area)
I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
• Provide leadership and oversight of Network Services operations, including WAN, LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security platforms
• Oversee daily operational activities, including incident management, problem resolution, and service availability
• Serve as escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues
• Coordinate and prioritize workload across Network Services teams, including infrastructure and security-focused functions
• Support ongoing and planned initiatives, including:
SD-WAN implementation and optimization
Network monitoring and observability tools (e.g., ThousandEyes, AppDynamics)
Security integrations (e.g., Secure Workload, NGFW, identity services)
• Provide vendor coordination and oversight for network-related services and contracts
• Ensure compliance with Agency security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
• Participate in change management processes and ensure proper documentation and approvals
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineering, Data Center, Telecom, and Security teams to support cross-functional initiatives
• Provide status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation planning to leadership
• Maintain documentation of network architecture, processes, and operational procedures
• Support knowledge transfer and continuity planning for the return of the permanent Network Services Manager
II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

| 7 | Preferred | Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with administration, maintenance, and design of Cisco VoIP solutions is required. |
| 5 | Preferred | Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing a networking team in a highly complex environment. |
| 5 | Preferred | Experienced with implementation and support of 24x7x365 network, voice, and video environment. |
Note: Expected Start Date: 07/03/2026 End Date: 03/03/2027. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.
Hybrid - On Site and Telework: Austin, TX. 78752. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Candidate may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Candidate must be able to pass background check.
